What is HUDY Climbing Academy
Half-year course of climbing on an artificial wall, where you will also learn things for the rocks.
During the course we will climb, you will learn about the correct climbing movement, bouldering and endurance training, we will practice the methodology. Establishing, securing, refreshing the used, news and techtips for the future.
We will use our new climbing polygon, you will learn how to conquer, rappel and many useful things for moving on the artificial wall, but also outside it.
In the beginners group we will go over things from the basics, some repetition of basic things, but also new techniques.
In the training group we will focus on developing your climbing skills and laying the foundations for your regular training.
The whole course is covered by an experienced sport and mountain climber, mountain guide Radek Lienerth. The actual teaching is then led by members of the Czech Association of Mountain Leaders in Education, instructors and trainers of HUDY climbing wall Brno.
Since when, until when, what would?
There is one group for the course, with a maximum of 8 participants.
We start in the week of Monday 22.9.2025 and we will finish the teaching, which will take place in all weeks except holidays and vacations (= no teaching(27.10.2025 – autumn holidays, 17.11.2025 public holidays and 29.12.2025 Christmas, ) in the week of 26.1.2026.
The price includes 16 lessons in a Monday group – course management, entrances to the wall, rental of necessary equipment, VAT. Each course participant is entitled to a 15% discount on all products in our climbing equipment shop for the entire course.
Main topics for the course:
- basic climbing movement – boulder, wall
- TR tying and securing
- belaying and securing the first climber
- securing using HMS, ATC and braking force aids
- practice of falling and catching a fall
- the course is designed to lead to full independence in the climbing wall area
- building on the right foundations

The only condition for admission to the HCA beginners course is an interest in learning and climbing. Previous experience may be an advantage, but is not essential.
